The following are a series of free, downloadable documents provided by the Global Warming Solutions Group to help take steps to a more sustainable future at home and at work.

  • GWSG Carbon Calculator – Download our Quick Carbon Calculator to begin to get a snapshot of your environmental impact on the planet and begin to learn what steps you can take to reduce your own footprint.
  • Energy Savers Booklet from the U.S. Department of Energy – This booklet was published by the U.S. Department of Energy and contains tips on saving energy and money at home.
  • Peoria County Sustainability Proposal – This is the document the Solutions Group submitted to Peoria County with recommendations of steps that Peoria County Sustainability Team can take to minimize the area’s footprint.
  • Peoria County Recycling Locations – This is a direct link to the Peoria County Recycling and Conservation department’s list of recycling location in Peoria County that includes residential drop-off locations as well as a directory of where to take items like batteries, electronics, and clothing.
  • Recycling Locations for Electronics – The document summarizes several where you can take items such as cell phones, printers, televisions, and even cables for proper recycling.
  • Resources for Sustainable Yard Garden Table – This flyer features local farmers’ markets, community-supported agriculture, and tips for rain barrels and yard care.
  • Buy CI Campaign – This flyer describes the campaign to encourage local buyers to buy from local businesses to promote area jobs and economy.
