What: Hands Across the Sand is an international movement made up of people of all walks of life and all political affiliations. This movement is not about politics; it is about protection of America’s coasts, oceans, marine wildlife, and fishing industry.  It is being organized to oppose offshore oil drilling and champion clean energy and renewables. We aim to convince our State officials, Congress and President Obama to stop the expansion of offshore oil drilling and to adopt policies encouraging clean and renewable energy sources.   We believe clean renewable energy is the only way to safeguard America’s future.
