Illinois River Cleanups Head to Central Illinois
May 29, 2009
The Living Lands and Waters group will be making their way down the Illinois River and will be in central Illinois in late May and early June. They find discarded items such as tire, bicycles, televisions, and event furniture along the river and riverbanks, remove it, and see that it is safely disposed of. Part of their mission is to “aid in the protection, preservation, and restoration of the natural environment of the nation’s major rivers and their watersheds.

Just looking out to the other river cleanup people – if you know of anyone who would be interested in participating in a river cleanup this coming Saturday, 9/25/10, in Southeastern Kentucky, please send them to “Harlan County River Cleanup Part II” on Facebook.
Yea, clean rivers and oceans!
